For many years, Pedro Rizzo has been considered one of the most dangerous strikers of MMA. But the time past and the heavyweight left UFC and his game seemed to me known. But it was exactly his famous low kicks which brought Rizzo back to a good sequence of wins. “The guys knew about my knick so I got shy, but maybe that was my mistake. The kick can make much difference”, affirmed the striker.
On an exclusive chat, published on this month’s edition of TATAME Magazine, Rizzo reminded the best moments of his career, talked about the wish of competing in high level again on UFC and the “perfect performance”, which he is seeking for his fight with Tim Sylvia on the end of the year. “After I left UFC, a fight I really liked to do was the one with Justin Eilers, in March of 2007. I did a good stand-up game, with speed, I took him down, did a good fight on the ground. I really enjoyed this fight, but it was not everybody who watched it because it’s not on YouTube”, explains. |
