In almost 10 years of work with a team of tough guys on his cast, the team Luta Livre Renovação Fight Team is waiting for a long time for a great opportunity. Since Cyrillo Padilha fought on Strikeforce and Luciano Azevedo on the rings of the extinct Pride, the team did not have a chance like they will have with Azevedo on September 10 on MFC 26, which happends on Wesman Place, in Canada. The combat, against Antonio McKee, will worth the lightweight belt of MFC and it can open new doors to the team of Márcio Cromado.
“I see this fights as our opportunity. We’ve been in great events like Pride, but unfortunately he loss. We’re having a second chance with Luciano again. Cyrillo fought on the USA, but he did all his preparation there, so it’s the first time that someone from the team did all the preparation work here and will fight on the United States. He’s not injured, he’s strong and now it’s time for him to get to his weight and do his job. His opponent usually doesn’t beat the weight, he has troubles on that matter, but I hope he doesn’t have that kind of problem and we can fight for the belt”, said Cromado, who will go to America on Monday with his pupil.
Luciano has been training hard on his team’s gym, in Rio de Janeiro, and the expectations are high. “He trained Boxing with Geovani Diniz, Marcos Paulo is taking care of his Wrestling, Daniel Woirin went to the USA, but Julian is giving him Muay Thai lessons… Marcelo Bricadeiro helped a lot on setting his strategy, we trained a lot of Wrestling, we did everything right and we’re ready. Even if it’s not our day, we’ll make it happen. Luciano is a devel even when he was his back on the ground, so we’re confidents. I’m very glad and I hope for a good result”, concluded the black belt under Eugênio Tadeu. |
