Back to the wins with his triumph over Mário Miranda on UFC 118, the black-belt Demian Maia talked to TATAME about the next title fight on his division, the rematch between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen, reediting the remarkable duel that happened on UFC 117. With the comments about a possible rib injury of Anderson, Demian analyzed a rematch on which Anderson would be “100% cured”.

“Anderson being 100% it’s a very relative thing. We don’t know if Chael was 100% too because, in every fight, we have something injured… I’ve fought with my rib hurt, a knee injury. Rodrigo (Minotauro) fought when he couldn’t even walk… But people usually don’t know about these things because the athlete don’t say it, so they don’t know about it”, said Demian.

Before the first fight, Demian had said to TATAME that he wanted Chael Sonnen to win, because he does not admire the current champion, and that Sonnen would have conditions to win, despite Anderson’s favoritism. Now, Demian can not bet. “I don’t know, let’s see... The two of them are excellent athletes”, concluded.
