Top ten comebacks on TATAME #175 (2)

Who never had the emotion of watching your team scoring a savior goal at the last minutes of the additional time, or that three-pointer, shot from the middle of the court, which changed the score when the time had already finished? It is for you, reader and fan who has put your heart to be tested several times also on MMA, that we prepared the edition of September of TATAME Magazine.

Excited with the historical win of Anderson Silva over Chael Sonnen on UFC 117, who had to work a lot until we got that savior submission when it was already finished, we prepared a ranking with the 10 bests comebacks of the history of MMA, that fights which made you speechless for some hours, taking your breath away and keeping you awake all night long…

BLACKOUTS AND LOW KICKS

Curious, we went for the field and searched all about the knockouts. Much more than a punch on the face, the ultimate coup brings much more mystery than we can ever know. On an exclusive article, we talked to doctors, psychologists, coaches and fighters to know all the consequences of a knockout on the career – and life – of an athlete. “I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody”, jokes Fabrício Werdum, who has been knocked out by Junior “Cigano” dos Santos on UFC 90.

Still on the MMA ring, we talked to Pedro Rizzo, one of the heavyweights who most represented Brazil on UFC. On the interview, the pupil of Marco Ruas talks about the new phase of his career, regaining self-esteem with three wins in a row, makes some plans for the future, talks about the evolution of MMA among the heavyweights, the confrontation with Tim Sylvia and a possible comeback to UFC’s octagon.

“OLDIES” AND LEGENDS

But TATAME #175 brings a lot of Jiu-Jitsu to you too. On the mood of International Master and Seniors, we talked to the “oldies” who still represent the gentle art on the mats, keeping the flame alive even after the forties. Names like Saulo RIbeiro, Helvécio Pimenta, Roberto Gordo, André Marola and Rolker Gracie gave their recipe for the success and longevity on Jiu-Jitsu , commenting about the emotion of representing the art for so long. Still on the mats, we prepared you an amazing article with Wellington Dias, the “Megaton”, who reminded of his career, analyzed the current scene of the gentle art around the world and a lot more.

Exchanging the gentle art for the bangs of K-1, we prepared a historical Face to Face with two legends of the stand-up game. Four-time champion of the Japanese event, Ernesto Hoost came to Brazil and talked to Francisco Filho, a Karate legend. The former athletes, who fought three times on K-‘, reminded some of the great moments of their careers, the influence of the martial arts on their lives, their toughest fights and a lot more.
