Being chosen to make his debut on UFC 118, in August 28, against Thiago Tavares, Willamy Chiquerim had to change his plans and postpone his UFC debut due to a knee injury. Champion of Shooto and coming from eleven wins in a row, the tough guy was pretty upset when the doctor told him he could not fight. “I really didn’t like that my fight was postponed, it felt pretty bad, but God knows what’s best and I’ve turned that page and now I’m excite, taking good care of myself so when I come back I can do a good presentation. I’m fine now, man, doing my physiotherapy and the doctors are very optimistic about my recovery”, said Chiquerim, who is already thinking about his debut. “I believe I’ll be fine in two months, you can wait for a me to debut on the event soon, and I’ll be determinate and ready to bring this win home”, concluded the champion.
