After the controversial unanimous decision victory against Maurício “Shogun” Rua, Lyoto talked about the judges’ score cards. “We had three judges on the fight, but it’s not me who decides. The judges saw the fight and that were the points”, the champion said, saying that he agrees with the event’s decision, open t a rematch.

“If the Ultimate decide for a rematch, of course I’ll do it”, Lyoto said. “I’ll go back home and study the whole fight, everything that passed and put another strategy on. We always learn and this fight was more a lesson.  Of course we always want to please the fans, everyone who supports. I promise I’ll train more to please everyone and get better… I promise to go better on the next one”.
