Leader of Renovação Fight Team (RFT) in Brazil, Márcio Cromado is confident to the next fight of Luis “Besouro”, who’ll fight for Angrrrr Management’s belt this Saturday (17). Used to fight as a welterweight, the Brazilian will move up to middleweight to fight, but Cromado bets on a big performance of his pupil, who’ll fight for another belt in November. In a quick chat with TATAME.com, the coach also talked about the team work in England’s branch, commanded by Marcelo Brigadeiro.
Besouro will fight for two belts in England. How’s his preparation?
He’ll make the things right. He’s in England doing daily trains and I imagine that he’s very nervous and training a lot. I thinks it’s gonna be a huge fight. He’s fighting out of his category, but I think he’ll do a great job.
What’s the expectation to his future?
He’s a welterweight, and on November 28 he’ll fight for the 170lbs title at Olympia MMA, in Liverpool, but he wants to fight… Brigadeiro’s work is right, he’s training tough guys, as the UFC athletes Terry Etim and Paul Daley… I think Besouro is focused. Here in Brazil there’s that family problem, he works a lot, so I think he’ll represent well the RFT and Brazil’s flag.
What are you thinking of RFT’s growth in England, with Brigadeiro’s work?
I’m very proud. They’re my kids, his work is right. It’s hard to live of fight in Brazil, and up there he’s having a huge success. He has 80 students or more, and I think that Luta Livre will grow even more in England with his work. He just participated of a famous TV show in England, he’s doing the things right. |
