Cut from the UFC after his loss to Ryo Chonan, Roan “Jucão” Carneiro was scheduled to the first ever Shine MMA main event, but some problems with his opponent, Ronald Jhun, forced the Brazilian to be out of the card, which happens at May 9^th and will have Antonio “Samuray” Mendes facing Antwain Britt, former TUF fighter, in the main event. With the chances, Roan already knows when he’ll be back in action.

Even before doing the first edition, Shine organization already prepares the second show, and the main event is already set. The experienced fighter Jorge Patino “Macaco” (21-11-1), former one time Pride and UFC fighter, who got back in action at last February, winning at KAP, will face Roan at Shine 2, which probably will happen at Miami in July 25^th.
