It’s with great sadness that TATAME.com informs that great Master Hélio Gracie, the creator of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu along his brother Carlos Gracie, who had completed 95 years old in 2008, has passed away this morning in his house at Itaipava, Rio de Janeiro. Father of some of the best fighters in the Jiu-Jitsu and MMA history, like Rickson, Rorion, Royce, Rolker and Relson, Hélio’s funeral will be today, at 5p.m., at Petrópolis’ cemetery.
