The Yarennoka, event organized by the Pride’s ex-staff  with M-1 Global’s support, that happened December 31 in Saitama Super Arena, in , wasn’t good for the Brazilians. Luiz Azeredo, that faced a tough battle with Tatsuya Kawajiri, was defeated by judge’s decision. Another Brazilian fighter saw his winning hopes go away after the announcing of Takimoto’s winning. Murilo Bustamante saw the fight became to a complicated situation after an yellow card in first round and suffered a knock-down on the second.
